1881 Three Cent Nickel, PR68 ★
Exceptional Border Toning

1881 3CN PR68 ★ NGC. Concentric bands of apple-green, rose-red, and sun-gold endow this fully struck and virtually immaculate specimen. The toning is especially attractive on the reverse. The 881 in the date is nicely repunched. Star Census: 1 in 68 ★ , 2 in 68 ★ Cameo (3/15).
