1881 3CN PR68 NGC. While it is does not rank in the top five highest-mintage proof three cent nickel issues, the 1881 is underrated due to its association with the high-mintage business strike of the same year, creating an opportunity for the clever collector. This exquisitely preserved example is sharply struck and profoundly reflective. Pastel blue, pink, and yellow toning enriches each side.
