1884 Three Cent Nickel, PR66 Deep Cameo
One of Two Examples in This Format
1884 3CN PR66 Deep Cameo PCGS. Nearly 4,000 proof three cent
nickel pieces wire minted in 1884, and almost 1,400 examples have
been certified by PCGS. A mere two specimens have been designated
Deep Cameo by that service, the current Premium Gem and a PR67
(5/15). Both sides are clearly contrasted with only hints of blue
and gold-rose color to the fields. A small planchet depression on
