1887/6 Three Cent Nickel, PR67
Popular Proof Overdate
1887/6 3CN Strong Overdate, FS-302, PR67 PCGS. This proof
head die has a bold overdate, showing some degree of repunching on
all four numerals. The present example is also lightly clashed on
the reverse. The strike is tack-sharp throughout, and modest
field-motif contrast occurs on each side. The preservation is
exceptional, accentuated by hints of light golden toning.
