Single Finest PCGS Certified 1889 Three Cent Nickel

1889 3CN PR68 PCGS. A lightly patinated, Superb Gem proof piece that displays shimmering, partially reflective surfaces that are unencumbered by marks, hairlines, or annoying toning spots. Each side exhibits a pastel-golden and rose-red finish with hints of sky-blue as the coin is turned under a light. A specimen that approaches perfection and one of only 3,436 proof pieces originally minted. Currently (1/05), this is the single finest example certified by PCGS, one has also been graded Proof 68 at NGC, and none are higher.
