1855 3CS PR63 PCGS. Breen-2920. The proof 1855 three cent silver is rare. According to PCGS, approximately 50 pieces are known. They are identified by flashy fields, a sharp central strike, and prominent repunching on the 855 in the date. The present specimen is unblemished and close to brilliant, but has an arc of minutely granular chestnut-gold toning on the lower right reverse.(Registry values: N2998)
