violet, and sun-gold toning engulfs each side of this Premium Gem
proof 1859 three cent silver. The strike is sharp, and neither side
exhibits mentionable contact marks. The 1859 proof is a rarity in
this grade, with merely a few finer pieces reported. Census: 14 in
