Description

1860 Silver Three Cent, Toned PR65

1860 3CS PR65 PCGS. CAC. Ex: Texas Trimes. Without a doubt, the circulation-issue series of the silver three cent is challenging to complete in Mint State, but the proof series is equally difficult to assemble, particularly in Gem or better condition. This high-end 1860 proof is deeply mirrored with blended aquamarine, gold, and lilac-orange toning. Some striking weakness appears on the reverse olive branch and a few mint-made strike-throughs are noted on the obverse when studied with a glass. Population: 9 in 65, 4 finer (6/15).(Registry values: N2998)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 27C7, PCGS# 3709, Greysheet# 3667)
