1861 Three Cent Silver

1861 3CS PR66 NGC. This Type Three proof three cent silver had a mintage of 1,000 pieces, but it is among the few finest survivors today. A melange of iridescent colors cover most of each side, save for a small untoned silver area on the reverse. A lovely and essentially mark-free example. Census: 8 in 66, 1 finer (11/11).(Registry values: N2998)
