1861 3CS PR66 PCGS Gold Shield. Attractive gold, russet, and blue toning visit the obverse and reverse of this Premium Gem proof that survives from the 1,000 coin proof mintage of three cent silver pieces in 1861. The fields and devices are nicely contrasted, although the toning prevents a Cameo designation. Population: 8 in 66, 2 in 66 Cameo, 6 finer (12/18).(Registry values: N2998)
