Description

1862 Three Cent Silver, PR67
Vivid Iridescent Toning

1862 3CS PR67 NGC. The central motifs are heavily frosted and contrast against moderately mirrored fields. The multicolor toning almost certainly prevents a Cameo designation, especially on the reverse. However, what the surfaces lack in reflectivity they make up for in eye-appealing patina. Iridescent hues of rose-violet, peach-orange, blue, and green invest this Superb Gem proof with magnificent aesthetic quality to match its high technical grade.

Population Data (3/15): This PR67 is among the six finest at NGC. The finest at PCGS are 12 PR66.
