Description
1863/2 3CS PR62 PCGS. Whether the result of a defective punch or a genuine overdate, the 1863/2 variety remains an interesting subset of the 460 specimen trimes coined for that year. This sharply struck piece displays modest reflectivity beneath rich rose-gray patina that displays orange and gold accents. Light to moderate hairlines in the fields account for the grade. Population: 4 in 62, 36 finer (7/19).Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 5/2007), lot 317.
