Choice Proof 1864 Trime
Scarce Civil War Survivor

1864 3CS Three Cent Silver PR64 PCGS. The Mint made ordering proof sets difficult and expensive during the Civil War years. An extremely low proof mintage of 470 three cent silver pieces resulted from these circumstances in 1864. The present coin is a high quality survivor of those troubled times, with sharply detailed devices and reflective fields, under light pink and gold patina. Population: 62 in 64, 45 finer (8/10).
