Description
1865 Three Cent Silver, PR65
Attractively Toned
1865 3CS PR65 NGC. Pale blue, gold, and rose patina on each
side of this Gem proof three cent silver complements surfaces that
are well-struck and thoroughly attractive. A scattering of light
flecks fails to defeat the broad eye appeal. A curving lintmark in
the right obverse field serves as a pedigree marker. Only 500
examples were struck of this proof issue, and this example is
slightly finer than the average certified survivor.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 27CB, PCGS# 3715, GSID# 3682)
