Description

Gem Proof 1867 Three Cent Silver
Intensely Colored Cameo Surfaces

1867 3CS PR65 Cameo PCGS. CAC. Breen-3. Deep, beautiful aquamarine dominates most of each side, with silver and russet centers on this stunning Gem. This is the third obverse die described in the Breen Proof Encyclopedia, with a hook-shaped mark to the right of the bottom shield point. Despite the intense coloration, there is more than sufficient contrast for the Cameo designation. Population: 11 in 65 Cameo, 9 finer (5/11).(Registry values: N1793)
