Description

1868 Three Cent Silver, Boldly Toned PR65

1868 3CS PR65 NGC. By 1868, the three cent silver denomination was dead in circulation and dying as a proof coin. This Gem proof, however, comes alive with green, blue, violet, and peach shadings let up by gleaming reflectivity. A charismatic coin housed in a prior-generation holder. Census: 48 in 65, 21 finer (11/12).
