Description
Beautifully Toned, Superb Gem Quality 1868 Trime
1868 3CS PR67 NGC. The Mint produced just 4,100 Three Cent Silvers in 1868, and only four proofs have been certified at the Superb Gem grade level by NGC and PCGS combined (10/01). This glassy example exhibits lovely lilac and copper toning that yields to vibrant rainbow colored undertones at many angles. The strike is generally free of criticism, and there are no hairlines or contact marks that would call into question the PR67 designation.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 27CE, PCGS# 3718, Greysheet# 3691)
