1869 Three Cent Silver, PR63
From the Queller Family Collection

1869 3CS PR63 PCGS. Silver coins were essentially unseen in everyday transactions by 1869, and the Mint only coined a small quantity of 4,500 three cent silver pieces. Additionally, 600 proofs were struck for collectors. This Select example offers light golden-gray, olive, and russet patina over each side with added blushes of blue on the reverse. A thin linear depression extends from the lower-right star notch to the right of the final A in AMERICA.
