Description

1870 Three Cent Silver, PR67
Only Four Finer

1870 3CN JD-1, R.2, PR67 NGC. The 1870 proof issue of three cent silver was tied with the 1860 and 1861 issues in terms of mintage, all having 1,000 pieces struck. This enrapturing example displays vibrant hues of electric-blue, floral-pink, and emerald-green. The strike is bold, showing no sign of weakness, though light lapping is apparent within the C. NGC Census: 11 in 67 (2 in 67★), 1 finer (4/26).
