Impressive 1870 Silver Three Cent, PR65 Cameo
1870 3CS PR65 Cameo NGC. A gorgeous proof with fully mirrored fields and lustrous, contrasting devices, beneath concentric album toning, a term devised for coins that have lighter centers and deeper toning at the borders, forming rings of rainbow color. The heavier toning at the border is a result of the sulphur content in the cardboard of old coin albums.
