Description
1870 Three Cent Silver, PR66 Cameo
Colorful and Thickly Frosted
1870 3CS PR66 Cameo PCGS. The magenta centers cede to
iridescent blue and jade-green at the borders of this delectable
piece. Despite the fairly deep toning, the contrast between the
well-mirrored fields and the thickly frosted devices is sufficient
to garner a Cameo designation from PCGS, a rarity for such a
well-toned coin. Extensive perusal with a loupe reveals no evidence
of contact. Population: 8 in 66 Cameo, 1 finer (12/13).Ex: Dallas Signature (Heritage, 6/2006), lot 398.
