Description

1870 Three Cent Silver, PR67
Peripheral Rainbow Toning

1870 3CS PR67 ★ NGC. An enchantingly toned and strongly mirrored specimen is from late in the three cent silver series. Light frost graces the devices, though contrast is subdued. Brilliant centers are surrounded by rings of green-gold and cerulean at the borders, wider on the reverse. NGC has graded just one numerically finer example (12/13).
