Description

1871 PR66 Cameo Three Cent Silver

1871 3CS PR66 Cameo PCGS. In 1871, only 4,360 three cent silver pieces were produced with 960 of that total being proofs. This is certainly one of the most attractive examples we have seen recently. Unlike the often-seen heavily toned coins from the 1860s and early 1870s, the surfaces on this piece are brilliant throughout with shimmering proof fields and sharply contrasting frosted devices.
