Description

1871 Three Cent Silver, PR67 ★ Cameo
Tied for Finest at NGC and PCGS

1871 3CS PR67 ★ Cameo NGC. The 1871 is considered one of the most available three cent silver issues in proof format thanks to a mintage of 960 specimens and a proportionately high survival rate. This example should be regarded differently, though, as top-certified proofs with cameo contrast and fantastic patination are extremely rare. Blue and green border hues merge with shades of magenta and golden-orange at the central obverse. Similar colors encircle virtually brilliant centers on the reverse. A pristine circulation-strike alternative. Census: 7 in 67 Cameo (3 in 67 ★ Cameo), 0 finer (1/16).(Registry values: N4719)
