Scarce, Low Total-Mintage Date
1872 3CS Three Cent Silver PR65+ Cameo PCGS. This
penultimate date in the three cent silver series gave an indication
that the end was near. Only 1,000 business strikes were coined plus
an additional 950 proofs. This upper-end proof shows deeply
reflective mirrors in the fields and noticeably frosted devices on
each side. An important issue. Population: 5 in 65 Cameo, 5 finer
