1873 Three Cent Silver, PR67 ★
Tied for Finest Certified
1873 3CS PR67 ★ NGC. This is one of the finest certified
examples from the fateful final year of the three cent silver
series, one of several coin series legislated out of existence by
the "Crime of '73." The 1873 three cent silver were issued only in
proof format, all with the Close 3 date style. Glints of scarlet
and ice-blue generously coat both sides of this Superb Gem, which
is wonderfully distraction-free. This coin, one of two non-Cameos
at this highest certified grade level, would be a super acquisition
