Description
1873 3CS PR 64 PCGS. A deeply toned yet attractive example of this proof-only issue from the final year of the type. The devices are medium-gray while the fields are considerably deeper in color. Of the original mintage of 600 pieces, many were melted, making this a scarce piece indeed. The devices are sharp and a few light marks prevent this coin from reaching Gem status.
