Low Mintage, Type Two Reverse

1875 T$1 PR63 Cameo NGC. Type Two Reverse. Period after FINE. The borders display traces of rose-red toning, most apparent on the reverse exergue. Icy devices rise in intricate definition above glassy fields. Hairlines are minimal, though a drop of translucent residue forms a small circle above the D in DOLLAR, and is accompanied by a mint-made flan imperfection. Only 700 proofs were issued. Census: 12 in 63 Cameo, 44 finer (12/25).
