Description

1876 Trade Dollar, PR65 Cameo
Sublime Contrast

1876 T$1 PR65 Cameo PCGS. Type One Obverse. Type Two Reverse. A rather substantial coinage of 1,150 proof Trade dollars was accomplished in 1876 for distribution via silver proof sets. High-grade examples are occasionally available today, although Cameos are rare in Gem condition. This Gem displays bold contrast and an equally well-defined strike. The frosty motifs and deep mirrors yield a hint of champagne-gold warmth. Population: 12 in 65 (1 in 65+) Cameo, 5 finer (8/25).(Registry values: N4719)
