Description

Ex: Lee PR65 1877 Trade Dollar

1877 T$1 PR65 PCGS. This is a splendid specimen striking with delicate caramel-gold patina. The fields are reflective and the devices are nicely frosted, but no cameo designation is present, perhaps due to its green label holder. Intricately struck, and rare in such high quality. Only 510 proofs were struck of the 1877 proof Trade dollar, the lowest output of proofs other than the 1884 and 1885. Population: 15 in 65, 5 finer (9/07).
