Rare Ultra Cameo Specimen
1877 T$1 PR65 Ultra Cameo NGC. According to Mint records,
only 510 proof Trade dollars were struck in 1877, a small mintage
even for that era. Expert opinions differ on the total number of
coins available in today's market, but all agree that examples in
Gem condition, with Ultra Cameo surfaces, are extremely rare. This
spectacular Gem displays razor-sharp definition on all design
elements and well-preserved surfaces, with no mentionable
distractions. The devices are richly frosted, providing dramatic
cameo contrast with the deeply mirrored fields. Outstanding visual
appeal complements the high technical grade. Census: 2 in 65 Ultra
