1878 T$1 PR63 Cameo PCGS. CAC. The 1878 was the first proof-only Trade dollar made for collectors (900 pieces). Stunning Cameo contrast characterizes both sides of this Select example, and a solid strike delivers bold definition to the design features. Untoned surfaces reveal just a few minor hairlines that preclude the next highest grade.Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 5/2009), lot 984, which realized $4,312.50.(Registry values: N2998)
