    1878 Trade Dollar, PR63
    Marginal Toning

    1878 T$1 PR63 NGC. This was the first year Trade dollars were not struck for circulation in the Philadelphia Mint. The San Francisco and Carson City mints continued production this year, but it would be their last. Each side displays dusky golden-gray toning, mostly around the margins, with nicely reflective fields. Several tiny contact marks and light hairlines can be found by closely examining the surfaces.
