Description
1878 Trade Dollar, PR65 Cameo
Old-Time Patina, Scarce Finer
1878 T$1 PR65 Cameo PCGS. This piece displays attractive
old-time patina within its deeply reflective fields while its
devices embrace bronze-silver luster. The strike is sharp with no
readily apparent weakness or marks that would obfuscate the appeal.
Slight lapping is noted along the eagle's neck though this is seen
in other coins of this issue. Just 900 proof examples were struck
in 1878 and PCGS has reported just 120 in Cameo. PCGS Population: 6
