1878 T$1 PR65 NGC. Deep ocean-blue, rose-red, and orange patina embraces this pinpoint-sharp Gem. The 1878 is the first in a series of proof-only Trade dollars that culminates in the virtually uncollectible 1884 and 1885 dates. The 1878 is scarce, since only 900 pieces were struck.
