    Description

1880 T$1 PR62 PCGS Secure. The 1880 Trade dollar was a proof-only issue struck specifically for collectors near the end of that controversial series, and it was produced in generous numbers. The 1,987-piece mintage was well-received by both dealers and the collecting public. This sharp PR62 survivor is colorfully toned over glistening, mirrored fields in variegated shades of blue, yellow-gold, reddish-orange, violet, and olive-tan. A few light lines are hidden by the toning, yet they account for the assigned grade. The eye appeal is outstanding.(Registry values: N1793)
