1882 Trade Dollar, PR65 Deep Cameo
Stunning Contrast
1882 T$1 PR65 Deep Cameo PCGS. The proof 1882 Trade dollar
is usually available in low grades, but Gem Deep Cameo examples are
scarce. The present piece displays incredible sharpness and
stunning depth of mirroring, with stark contrast between the fields
and devices. Elements of gold and lavender toning appear around the
outer peripheries, while the interiors are brilliant. No
distracting contact marks are seen. Deep Cameo pieces in this and
finer grades seldom appear in our auctions, yet, such pieces are
popular with type collectors due to the eye appeal they display.
