1883 Trade Dollar, PR65+
Sharp, Smooth, and Attractively Toned
1883 T$1 PR65+ NGC. The final collectible issue in the Trade
Dollar series was produced solely in proof format. While some of
the 979 pieces originally produced may have been melted, this proof
issue is generally obtainable in today's market. The issue is still
scarce at the PR65 grade level, however, and finer coins are rare.
Fully original, cerulean-blue toning envelops both sides of this
Plus-graded Gem. A pinpoint sharp strike is uncommon for this
issue, but it is a feature that both sides of this coin possess.
Original eye appeal is strong. Census: 60 in 65 (3 in 65+), 45
