Last Obtainable Proof Issue
1883 T$1 PR66 Cameo PCGS. CAC. The 1883 Trade dollar issue
is the last obtainable for a price in the series, and collectors
are accordingly fond of the date. This is a fantastic-looking
example, lavishly contrasted and accented with pale champagne-gold
around the margins of each side. The strike is nice and sharp
overall, despite minor softness on Liberty's head. A bit of
planchet roughness appears, as made, through the lower-left wing of
the eagle on the reverse. A great example for the type, and one of
seven stickered in this grade at CAC. Population: 13 in 66 (1 in
