    1883 Trade Dollar, PR66
    Vivid Multicolor Patina

1883 T$1 PR66 PCGS. CAC. The 1883 Trade dollar was the last regularly issued date of the series, as the 1884 and 1885 dates were clandestinely made in extremely limited quantities. Only 979 proofs were produced. A sharply struck Premium Gem example, this coin exhibits toning on both sides, but the patina on the obverse serves to accentuate the design elements. The colors are also more vivid on that side, including shades of rich orange, red-orange, purple, bright blue, and olive-gray. Population: 16 in 66, 3 finer (11/13).(Registry values: N4719)
