Description
1875 Twenty Cent--Improperly Cleaned--NGC. Proof. A large mintage of 2,790 proof twenty cent pieces was achieved in 1875, the first year for the denomination. The present coin is crisply detailed, with only one mentionable handling mark, a shallow scratch from TA in STATES to near the eagle's head. The obverse surfaces are lightly toned around the margins; while the reverse shows irregular patches of dark purple.
