Description

1876 Twenty Cent Piece, PR64 Cameo
Lovely Light-Silver Coloration

1876 20C PR64 Cameo NGC. BF-3, R.4. Light-silver devices exhibit outstanding detail and complement mirrored fields. Thin abrasions exist on both sides, but a small patch in the field between stars 3 and 4 on the obverse are the only ones that require note. All issues of this denomination except for the Carson City emissions have known proofs, and the mintage of the 1876 is in second place at 1,150, just behind the 1875's 1,200. NGC Census: 22 in 64 Cameo (1 in 64+), 44 finer (2/26).(Registry values: N2998)
