1876 20C PR64 Cameo PCGS. CAC. The heyday of proof mintages for this strange denomination, worth "two short bits," was 1875, with 1876's total less than half the previous year at 1,260 pieces. This piece has a small planchet lamination that peeled off before the coin was struck, in the area of stars 11-13. The surfaces are otherwise highly reflective, with good contrast and pretty lilac patina. Population: 22 in 64 Cameo, 13 finer (3/09).(Registry values: N2998)
