    Description

    1877 Twenty Cent, PR62
Just 510 Proofs Struck, Series Key
    CAC Approved

1877 20C PR62 PCGS. CAC. BF-1, R.3. Lightly frosted motifs offer moderate contrast against brilliant, nicely mirrored fields that highlight this key, proof-only issue from the short-lived twenty cent series. A few delicate hairlines and tiny marks are grade-consistent, while the strike is sharp throughout both sides. CAC endorsement is an important adjunct to the PR62 grade -- the present coin is one of only a half dozen examples so-recognized . CAC: 6 in 62, 35 finer (5/19).(Registry values: N2998)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 27H4, PCGS# 5305)
