    Modest Field-Motif Contrast

    1877 20C PR63 NGC. BF-1. Regular coinage of the twenty cent piece was suspended in 1876, although proofs were struck for collectors through 1878. The proof mintage in 1877 was only 510 pieces. This Select example displays brilliant surfaces and sharp detail. Subtle cameo contrast appears on each side, particularly on the reverse.(Registry values: N2998)
