    Description

    1877 Twenty Cent, PR64
    Attractively Toned Type Coin

1877 20C PR64 PCGS. CAC. BF-1, R.3. The 1877 twenty cent piece was only struck in proof format, to the tune of 510 coins. These coins have significant type coin appeal, and they are essential for a complete date set of this short-lived series. The present near-Gem proof displays lovely pastel colors in the fields with slightly contrasted, satiny devices. No strike weakness is apparent, and any grade-limiting imperfections are hidden beneath the toning. Population: 64 in 64, 40 finer. CAC: 13 in 64, 15 finer (7/19).
From The Cody Brady Collection. (Registry values: N2998)
