Description

1878 Twenty Cent Piece, PR60
Popular, Low-Mintage Issue

1878 20C PR60 PCGS. The final-year 1878 was a very low production issue with a mere 760 proofs struck, only 600 of which were sold and the remainder melted. This piece is brilliant except for a light touch of golden-brown color on the reverse rim. The fields are remarkably deep, a common trait on twenty cent proofs of any grade. Hairlining accounts for the grade.(Registry values: N1793)
