Gem Cameo Proof 1878 Twenty Cent
1878 20C PR65 Cameo NGC. The short-lived twenty cent piece ended with a mintage of just 600 proofs in 1878. This is a high-end Cameo survivor from that terminal issue, impressively contrasted on the obverse with an even stronger cameo effect on the reverse. Faint golden elements appear at the margins, and two dots of deep toning are present at the peripheral obverse.
