'Red and Brown,' Mostly Red
1864 2C Large Motto PR65 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. Generous
luster proceeds from each side of this
just-over-the-border-from-Red Gem proof, mostly sunset-orange but
veering into violet a bit more prominently on the reverse. The
strike is a bit weak on the bottom of the date but eye appeal is
excellent. Population: 29 in 65 Red and Brown, 5 finer
