CAC-Endorsed Large Motto Example
1864 2C Large Motto PR65 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. Most proof
1864 two cent pieces feature the Large Motto obverse. This Gem Red
and Brown example is conditionally elusive and boasts the seldom
seen CAC endorsement. The strike is tack-sharp, and the frosty
design elements are set against highly reflective fields. Much of
each side is copper-orange, although burgundy overtones in select
areas define the Red and Brown designation. Both sides show
considerable cameo contrast. Population: 39 in 65 Red and Brown, 13
finer. CAC: 20 in 65, 5 finer (8/16).(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 274T, PCGS# 3622, Greysheet# 2708)
